The YMCA of Central Florida recently announced the name of what will become its newest location. The Leonard and Marjorie Williams Family YMCA will serve residents in the College Park area and surrounding communities as the Y’s 23rd location and will be a cornerstone of The Packing District, a transformational redevelopment coming to life through Dr. Phillips Charities.

Embrey Partners Ltd., a nationally recognized multifamily residential developer, held its ceremonial groundbreaking today for work on its newest project within The Packing District, a transformational mixed-use development taking shape near College Park in Orlando. Called The Cannery at The Packing District, the project is the first to break ground in the district.

Embrey Partners Ltd., a nationally recognized multifamily residential developer, will break ground in early September in The Packing District, Orlando’s newest mixed-use development near College Park. Embrey officially closed on the purchase of the property on August 9, 2019.

Following last month’s announcement surrounding initial plans and details for the Southern Box Food Hall, Dr. Phillips Charities today announced it is working with commercial real estate services firm JLL to identify a master third-party operator for the food hall. The operator would be charged with overseeing all operations for the food hall, including the identification of the individual tenants and leasing agreements to fill the open food stalls in the Southern Box.

As the site at Princeton Street and Orange Blossom Trail is prepared to make way for The Packing District, a 202-acre, $480-million transformational project near College Park, Dr. Phillips Charities today announced approval of a key component to the district’s focus on community, health and wellness.
